We have created a short integrative yoga practice with snowsports in mind that you can learn in a week and use in daily life for building energy, increasing awareness and balance. Yoga is not just for girls. Surfers, climbers, runners and most modern athletes increasingly realise that energy, mind power and body awareness are crucial to avoiding injury, improving stamina, muscular symmetry, balance and transformation. Skiing puts a lot of stress on the body and overuses a few key muscle groups, repetitive training and uneven use of muscle groups causes tightness, shortened muscles and imbalance, all of which can cause injury. Daily yoga can undo the negative impact of intensive sport and help prevent injury, ironing out the creases, realigning and lengthening all the muscle groups and strengthening the core. If you want to long, hard, healthy ski life and body, then yoga is key!

What it is not...

  • It is not religious and is free from dogma.
  • It is not obligatory to do anything - yoga or any of the activities involved, even skiing.
  • It is not an additional expense to a normal ski trip, it is a totally different ski trip in and of itself.
  • It is not an exercise class, it is for increasing energy and heat in the body before you go skiing and re-balance and restore apres-ski.
  • It is not competitive or just for flexible people, or middle-aged women, it is for everyone - 8 or 80 year olds practice yoga, men and women, fat or thin, bendy or hard, if you have a body and a mind, you can do yoga. Work with your own body and mind wherever it takes you...
